    1655 motor size

40 should be about right. I can go 20 with my 20hp Johnson on my 1655 Lowe.

    small boat decision

The plastic boats are nice until they get a leak. It's very hard to get them dry(lite) again.

    Leaf spring mounts

Are they in a bind now? You may just need to pop them out.

    20hp 4-stroke vs. 25hp 2-stroke

I got my 1655 on plane with a 20hp 2 stroke this weekend with three adults and two kids.

12V Grumman Build Micro Center Console (Pic Heavy)

Can you move the pulleys back a little? Then they would be perpendicular to the shaft again.

12V Grumman Build Micro Center Console (Pic Heavy)

That is one sweet little boat! Awesome build!

1648 center console? Anyone got one?

That Alweld is going to be HEAVY. The extra power would be needed. It will also run deeper than a lighter boat.

1648 center console? Anyone got one?

I would love to have a CC in my 1655. The added width makes a huge difference.

    20hp 1655 Report

It is a 2-stroke with a cheap Comprop 4 blade. Enough power but with this prop 24 mph is about all that would be possible. (motor at full rpm and slip at a minimum) Fast enough for me. Mine is a wide, deep, heavy boat so yours may do better.

    20hp 1655 Report

I finally got my 1655 out on a calm day with the new 11 pitch prop Saturday! Had a full load (maybe a little over) and 1/4 the rated power and she still planed out! Then I dropped my 4 passengers off at the dock and it popped out of the water and cruised like a dream. If only I hadn't left...

SeaArk 2072 MV or MVT ( Prop Tunnel Hull)

No that's my problem. I have two sons and a buddy that usually goes with us. It kind of bugs me to see big fishing boats set up for two guys. A sixteen foot runabout might seat 7 will a 24 foot bass rig seats two maybe three.

SeaArk 2072 MV or MVT ( Prop Tunnel Hull)

No an 72 wide boat is going to be very stable. I just think a center console is a better use of space on a fishing boat. You can fish and land fish from any side of the boat. Also end up with and isle on both sides of the boat make things less crowded. The middle of a boat that big is wasted...

    Looking for an E tec

I guess everybody with an E-tec is keeping it. Seriously. Good luck finding one. I wish I could afford one myself.

SeaArk 2072 MV or MVT ( Prop Tunnel Hull)

I would defiantly get a center console on a boat that wide. My new boat has a tunnel hull and I think it's a great idea.

    Prop ID Help

I got a stainless prop with my boat that doesn't fit my motor. It measures 6" radius so it's 12" diameter. Has a 16 stamped near the hub. Maybe 16 pitch? Also it is cupped a little. Has 13 splines. The hub measures 3 1/4 on the motor end and 3 1/2 on the exhaust end. What would it fit? How much...

Voyager 1670 Jon Mod - wasting my time

Look great and I love the name. But I think you will have to put the name on the back half. At least here anyway. Only registration numbers or letters on the front half.

The boy looks good! How are you sleeping?:) Sweet cooler but a little pricey.

    5hp briggs and startton mods?

Does the Briggs have an air filter? Another thing. Your motor has a rev limiter on it. You will have to disable it to get higher rpms. For the record. I think it's a really cool idea.
