    Best 14' for a 9.8 HP

No I did not buy the boat. I found another source for the motor. I was getting the run around a bit on that sale. This motor is newer than the one from that sale.... As I have been looking at used sales it seemed like one part was always way off. The boat would be usable, but the motor...

    Best 14' for a 9.8 HP

I picked up a nice 2010 Tohatsu Outboard on Friday. It is 9.8 four stroke with what was reported as less than 20 hours on it. I ran it over the weekend on a 1950s Aerocraft V Hull that I have. It ran perfect and was very fun. I would like a bit of a larger boat. Maybe a 14'? I want to be...

    Need advice!

Thanks for the replies! I am going to pass on this sale. I a getting a bit of a run around with the seller and I don't have time to deal with that. I did find a local seller of a 2010 9.8 tohatsu and I think I am going to buy that if it looks good and then shop slowly for my boat. Then I can...

    Need advice!

Yes, the boat is a 1436. I have an under 10 HP on one lake and a 12 MPH speed limit on another. We are currently using a 12' V Hull 1958 Aerocraft. Should I look more for a v hull? The price is right on this setup. I do not want to spend more! THANKS

    First Project

I have read allot of posts that says those types of seats tend to fall off easily. I also want to raise the height of the seat a bit, 6 to 12 ". My latest thought is that I could run 3/4" plywood the length of the seat. I would recess in some bolts that would fit the pedestal base and then...

    First Project

Thanks for the replies. I am in Hopkinton, MA Got very busy lately and have not had time to work on this boat much. However, I did get a chance to take it out yesterday. It moved pretty well with a 55 lb thrust transom mounted trolling motor on there. I do need to add a rear seat. It...

    First Project

Lots of great information on this board. I have been reading through allot of posts as I recently just bought my first (well actually it is my third, but this one I WILL finish) project boat. Based on what I found on fiberglassics, I think it is 1967 Aerocraft, but I am not sure. It looks...
