It's a shoot thru I just wasn't shure if it will work thru aluminum.or how to mount it right

hey guys i just got a fish finder from a friend and i have never used one. it has a hull thru transducer. i was wondering if it will work thru the aluminum haul and if so what is the best way to mount it? thanks for any help.

hey guys i thought i posted this last night but cant find it so here goes again. i have a merc 110 9.8 that i got from a friend im new to out boards so im not shure if it is pumping water like it should. there is a stream of water that squirts out when its going but its not a real strong stream...

spool guns are great but can be expensive. if you can afford it that is the way to go. you can get a drive wheel and liner kit for the lead you have allready for alot cheaper but they have problems with jamming in the liner somtimes if your not carefull.

There is a product called por15 it is used mainly for classick cars they have coatings for frames and alot of other things. it is kinda expensive but a little goes along way. you can just get off the loose rust and paint right over the rest and it will not rust again. i used it on my 1969 gto...

im gonna try to run mine in a tub tomorrow and see how hot it is. and see if its pumping. do you know how much water should spray out?

yea that would be awsome. i wrench on my harleys and my musclecar but ive never worked on an outboard so its all new to me. also how can i tell if the motor is pumping water right it has a little stream of water like a squirt gun stream that comes out the side but i had it out today for a little...

Hey guys i have a problem. i got a merc 110 9.8 from a friend of mine it had been sittin for a while so i changed the lower end oil and the plugs. i was checking the plug wires to see how they looked and noticed that the 2 wires that are just above the plug wires that run up under the pull cord...

thanks for the help guys i got it there was a peice of somthing in the hole it looked like an old gasket or somthing.

a little but not much he hasnt ran it in about a year but he said when he did it was real hard to get it to take oil

yea i removed the right screws and i am trying to fill from the bottom but cant get any oil to go in. not shure what the problem is.

Hey guys I have a mercury merc 110 9.8 I just bought from a friend. I'm trying to ad oil to the lower end. I removed the vent screw up top and the fill screw at the bottom but when I try to ad oil I can't get any to go in no matter how hard I try.any ideas? Help please!!

well i got my boat out for the first time today. its was great no leaks and the motor ran pretty good. think it might need new plugs tho it was missin a little bit. but all in all great.
