I was cleaning the boat today with Spray Nine,and on the outside of the hull,noticed that the paint was coming off as i scrubbed.Not down to bare metal,but it definately thinned the paint.This is not a big deal,since I plan on painting the boat this winter,but a heads up so nobody runs into this...

got it done last night.Wasn't bad.No stuck bolts,runs fine and it actually warms up now.

thats what I'm hoping for.On my Merc it was a 2 minute job,this looks a little more involved.We'll see once i start pulling bolts.

How big of a deal is to change a thermostat on a 30 hp 1992 johnson 2 stroke?It looks like I just remove the cover on the back of the cylinders and that should be it.any tips or things to be wary of?thanks!

I can't remember where I saw it,but I saw an un-painted tin that the owner hits with a buffer a few times a year.It looks like chrome!Not my style,but if you're looking for shiny,there you go!

cedar is soft.If you are putting an outboard on that transom,I would opt for something stronger.

thats what I figured.whoever did it did a good job-they just drop in and rest on the inside of the spray rails.there are two 2X6's under each section that don't touch the hull,and thats it.Solid as can be.

Nautolex makes a good,non-skid vinyl.I just ordered some for my rig on Friday.If you choose to go that route,you should check out Defender.com.Their price was WAY better than anyone else I could find.
