Mostly gravel bottom with big rocks here and there. Nothing to challenging to navigate for the most part. The Current river is where I do most of my running, it’s pretty shallow.

I followed your instructions Pappy and I still have no spark. So one of the ignition components took the hit.

I was working on my motor yesterday and my 4 year old son was helping me and he arced a wrench between the hot post and small ground post on the starter solenoid. Now the motor has no spark. Any help or direction would be much appreciated.

The lights I have are the same specs as yours and work good in clear water. I went 2 weekends ago up here on the upper end of the current and could see in water deeper than I could gig. I have 3 on the front of a 42" boat and I'm happy with their performance, it just needs some sidelights bad...

There's no way I would have a 25 if the river I run didn't have a 25 hp limit.

Should work great. We've got a 25 that's been converted to a 35 on a 17/42 weld bilt that is at least .100 ga and the bottom is pretty rough on and it works good.

I've ran mine for four years trimmed all the way down and no problems yet.

Pappy what is a good ballpark setting for the mixture screw on the front of the carb?

The only reason I ran 91 in this motor is because of it being ethanol free.

Why do you say to run 89 octane?

I always buy 91 octane fuel from a gas station that gets their tanks filled everyday. The station owner told me that their 91 octane is ethanol free, whether there's any truth to that or not I don't know. And I always mix with Johnson/Evinrude oil. And I decarb the motor every couple months to...
