I have a Crestliner 1860 that had a 60/40 on the back, top speed was around 23mph using a gps. Sold that motor, and I now have a 115/80 , I’ll Never go back to a 60/40, just the power alone is great to have.

since you changed some things around the boat,lost some weight.you may have to lower your motor a bit,not by trim but using a different hole.lower or raise the motor. Sometimes 5/16 of an inch makes a world of difference

I've been thinking of pods also,but,How do you think they would work with a tunnel also?They say you loose some floation height with a tunnel so i was thinking of adding pods to gain back what I would lose with a tunnel

what kind of fastner did the previous owner use,did he use sheet metal screws or screw and a nut.Did you try to tighten any of the screws.

camo painted boats are over rated,They are hot in the summer and when hunting out of the boat must hunters use blinds that cover the boat.

Not a Merc,but a yamaha 60/40 4 stroke.I have a 1860 Mod-vee center-console.So far my top speed is 25 mph,thats with 2 people with an average weight of 175 plus fishing gear
