Almost lost the boat today

I big tree uprooted after all the rain we've had and almost took out 6-7 boats/docks. It actually went under the dock I use, this is why I have 3 ropes tied to the dock. We lost a couple of barrels from that front corner but it's ok. A coupled docks downstream are beat up pretty good and the tree is now wedged against a dock that has a new pontoon boat attached to it. The water is actually dropping pretty fast now so I think the tree is stuck for the rest of the summer.

Wow...awfull...water certainly has some force ! Any chance getting your boat out and back on the trailer for safe keeping ? I couldn't sleep, thinking it would float away....

The boat is fine and the tree is downstream now so no longer a risk for my dock. I had a 30-40' tree stuck under the boat a couple of years ago when the river came up fast and brought a bunch of debris downstream. It rose about 5-6 feet in a couple of hours today. We had around 4-5" of rain the last 2 days so the ground is pretty wet and a lot trees along the river bank have been getting their roots washed out.

Holy cow, that was a close call. Glad it was relatively minor.
