To me, space, stability, and comfort could be good primary objectives. Sounds like your main concern is getting pounded going through chop. If stability is basically the same between the two boats you are looking at, then it comes down to sacrificing a little comfort for a little more space or vice/versa. Personally, based on my style of usage, I would probably go with the comfort.
