I went outside this morning to find my utility pole taking on a slight lean.Went to check the ground conditions and found a mound of odorus house ants around the base of the pole.We had a good amount of rain yesterday and last night.I believe the rain drove them deeper into the ground, loosing the soil around the pole.

I hate them to. We have fireants here but didn't back home. Seems like you can't build or set anything out that they don't build a mound around in days. When they bite you it stings like crazy. I have to keep ant killer granules to put on the mounds. When it rains the mounds pop up and get above the grass so the mound doesn't get flooded or I think that's why they do it.
