Wow, I didn't realize they were around then, as I don't remember them. I do recall having an 8 track player on the ship and listening to Jimmy Buffet a lot. I was 21 in '74 and on my second ship at that time :wink: .
 
Ha, the stereo in my first car had an 8-track.That was all we could afford back then,cassette players were expensive.
WW,they got airplay on what was equivalent to alternative rock stations.A little,not a lot.There were a few stations here in St.Louis that played the tunes noone else would even think about playing.HARD ROCK.Sadly,only one remains today,K-SHE 95.
