Gentlemen - Mark your calendars! My favorite fishing tournament is now scheduled for June 3-5th this year. (Just saw it on their website here -https://www.campchetek.org/calendar.php)
This has always been a great time of fishing, good eats, story telling, games, etc... It is an outreach at a church camp. Because of the tournament and us releasing our fish after weigh-in, they get a whole lot of fish released right at their dock, just before the first group of kids shows up for summer camp. Imagine the good fishing for the kids! All entrants get all meals provided at the camp (including a steak dinner), sleeping facilities provided at the camp, and free bait at the local shop and a few prizes for the winners.
The lake is actually 5(?) lakes joined together and you can fish any of them, as long as you can get there by boat. Fish for bass one day and panfish the next. Walleye count towards your total overall weight and there is a biggest pike prize.
