As I posted before - for several years I had a chance to visit the "Camp Chetek Fishing Classic" It's a 2 day fishing tournament and seminar. A few fishing pro's and hunting guides come in and give some tips on fishing the lake (they really do tell us what they learned in pre-fishing) and share some random tips on fishing or hunting and have a question and answer time.
The next day, after a great breakfast, the tournament kicks off with a bass tourney . That first night is more time of sharing and storytelling, campfire, basketball, volleyball - whatever you want to do. The next morning is a panfish tourney.
Let me say with all enthusiam that IT IS A BLAST! The classic is held at a kid's camp in northern Wisconsin and is a fundraiser for them an also offers them a chance to share the the Good Word with some crazy fishermen. They don't beat you with the Bible, but if you have had any questions, they are there to help. It doesn't hurt matters at all that most of the fish are released at their very nice dock right before the kids camping season begins.

You get 3 days, 2 nights of a bunk to sleep on, meals and bait for $89.00 a person. Generally you get a Tshirt and door prize as well.
It's a lot of fun and I hope to see some of you there. (Did I mention the free steak dinner?)
