Road signs

Talk about anything that floats your boat (no pun intended). This is general talk about anything not related to boating/fishing.

Road signs

Post by bobberboy »

Every time I see a picture on this site that's been taken inside a shop or garage I seem to see road signs lying around. I am assuming you guys haven't left your respective cities/counties devoid of signage so the question is where are you going for the used road signs you're using on your builds?

My uncle works for the city and a few years ago I was at his work and they had a graveyard full of old road signs. Im sure people have some sort of connection like that. If your looking for some I would try to find the city building where they keep plow trucks etc. They would probably have no problem selling you some old signs they just planned on scrapping anyway.

My folks bought some land years back to build on, and found a couple laying in the woods.

Only if they're on a metal post. If they're on a wooden post, chainsaw is quicker and easier.
