I've fished these same waters as it's my "home-city". Amazing catch. Catfish guys have more patience than I do for sure.
 
i lived in De Soto, KS and fished the Kansas river most of my life... here is a few pictures of our fish from my photo album

They used a chunk of an Asian carp that had jumped into their boat for bait. :LOL2:

That caught my eye and I laughed out loud. Maybe there is one upside to the asian carp - more food for the catfish!
 
another big one like that was caught a few years ago off the kansas river and died in transit to cabella's in kansas city... i think that one was around 105lbs, it was all over the news for weeks. i never did here wether they caught him on pole or limb line?
