is it hard to change the water pump on a 72 evinrude yachtwin 4 hp compared to a modern day motor. is it easier, harder? heres the ad https://richmond.craigslist.org/boa/1863760895.html
so should i go for it or not is the question

Piece of cake. Probably one of the easiest water pump impeller changes you'll ever come across.

Excellent little motor. With simple care, it likely has another 75 - 100 years of life left. I would probably run it 40:1, as opposed to the manufacture rated 50:1, as the small motors of the early 70's had babbitt bearings, and appreciated a bit of extra oil.

I'd go for it at that price, if you even halfway had a use for it.

ya aint pounced on that yet, whats the hold up? :LOL2:

uncle ricks has never been in the shop for anything, he has changed the impeller in the w-pump is all every two to three years. little bugger always runs good!
