Man, that's a shame. Even if the LA DNR is right about the oxygen levels, the suspicion of the oil spill having been part of the cause will remain. I wonder whether the affects of the oil spill will ever be fully investigated. I am too cynical to believe that will happen. BP will end up having to fork out a lot of dough but they'll never be held accountable for all the suffering of the people and wildlife this will bring about. It breaks your heart to see all those dead fish no matter what the cause.
 
This was posted on another forum, and members living in that area said pictures like that are not uncommon, and are completely unrelated to the oil spill.

It is similar to the shad kill we see up here on the inland lakes every winter. Unless you know the reasons for all those dead fish floating around, it does look like something's wrong.
