If this is not the cheapest, simplest, most brilliant idea, nothing is. I bet everyone has these parts just laying around:

Saw this on a fishing forum and thought I would share.

pretty simple to make for you guys that fish alone.One thing missing in the pics is a nut to stop the camera from being screwed in to far super glue the nut in place

Been there and done that. Except I used a C clamp type and clamped it down tight to the handlebar of my motor cycle (years ago) All my parts were welded so it didn't slip and slide down the road while I was moving. Worked pretty well for me.

Nice idea to share.

Thats a good idea but lets see you use it from something other than a boat .A lot guys do fish from shore( just sayin)

i have the gorillapod also for my rare shore fishing outings they also work great and are dirt cheap
