Deal of the day sites

Didn't see these posted anywhere. The way these work is pretty simple. They have one item for a set amount of time, or until it is sold out. Usually these are pretty deeply discounted, name brand items. Once sold out or time expires, it switches to a new item.

Here are a couple outdoors only sites i have come across:

This one is a site that pulls the deals from others and lists them. You can filter by activity, brand, etc. This site also has a lot of coupon codes for the various outdoor retailers. Mainly Hiking/Backpacking stuff, but has some hunting and fishing stuff, as well as coupon codes for Cabela's, Gander Mtn.

Ebates. This site you create an account and earn cash back on a ton of stores, and on ebay. You must click to the store through this website so it can track you. $5 sign up bonus. A couple examples are: 4.5% back on BassPro orders, 2.0% on Cabela's, and 3.0% on Gander Mountain (this is actually a better percentage than the GM credit card gives you). You CAN use other coupon codes through this as well. You can also use it with eBay bucks. Basically getting paid double the amount on ebay.

Something I've noticed with all of those "deal of the day" sites. Sometimes they aren't quite the deal that they appear to be.

yup..seen that too a few times. You just need to do your homework before you pull the trigger and buy.

It is true, some of them aren't really great deals. But sometimes they are. I just wish a site would do a good deal on some Goose floaters, or Some diver decoys.

Edit-I added eBates to the first post as well. Pretty sweet whn you use it in conjunction with other coupons or store credit cards. You can double your rewards.
