I need a crash course in brazing. I've done a little stick welding but not brazing. I need some know-how and a list of the tools/torches/gasses I will need. I am preparing to make some mounts at work that will be used to hang large ceramic plates and platters. Brass is the preferred material because it's easier to work than steel and less reactive to the environment. Anyone out there have any experience?

I've done some brazing before. It's just like soldering, only your using brass instead of lead or silver. You'll be working with higher temps,so watch out so the you don't overheat. Also, make sure everything is 'clean'. That's the extent of my knowledge. You probably want to do some practicing before you do the real thing to get the hang of it. Hope this helps a little.
