HOI Crappie Tournament June 4

Hello All,

I started a new club in the Heart of Illinois. Turns out the nearest Crappie club is in Springfield, about an hour away, and all the tournaments are further away from the Peoria area. So I started a Crappie Club in teh Peoria area. We go by HOI (Heart of Illinois) Crappie Club.

Had our first tournament last weekend.
Conditions were brutal and the fish had lockjaw, however we had a good time and managed to catch a few keepers.

The next tournament is June 4th at Lake Bloomington, near Bloomington, IL.

That's not too far from me here in St. Louis. I might have to plan on making one of those. With gas prices the way they are now though....I'll have to walk. #-o

Sounds like fun! Except that silly HP limit on IL lakes... I don't understand it, my boat only goes 25 mph with a 50hp on it, so I couldn't break the limit if I wanted? :LOL2:
