I posted an ad in Craig's List for kayak saddles with key locks. I get an email response to ask if they are still available so I emailed back that yes it was. I don't know how to say cash only and local pickup any simpler.

The following is a reply:

"Hi,
Am glad it's available. I'm going on a vacation to London but I will
instruct my assistant to prepare and mail your payment which I'm sure
you will get in about 4 - 6 business days. I'll add $20 extra for the
delay. I'll pay by M O or cashier check so send me your info (i.e full
name, mailing address and your phone number) so payment can be mailed
out immediately. I will also make arrangement for pick-up which will
be after you must have received and cashed the payment. Awaiting your
info.
Thanks"

They are out there everywhere. If you have time to waste it can be quite humorus to waste these douche bags time and string them along. Make sure you report these accounts.

If I list anything in CL I will only respond to phone calls, no emails. There are a couple funny sites dedicated to these scams where people attempt to scam the scammer.

Just type in google 419 and you will come across many.

I've got a ton of those and even went along and had a guy send me a bogus money order just out of curiosity of what it would look like

They are always out of the country and want a moving company to pick it up

Also never click a CL link in an email somebody sends you unless the url says craigslist. Found my add out of Ohio one time, somebody hacked my account that way
