I was going to enter this in the photo contest, then saw it really had no cool photographic elements - :? - but I think it is too cool not to share.
On the left is a brand new VMC hook. On the right is a one year old VMC hook that I used a few (maybe 3/4?) times to rig Senkos with. What a difference a little salt and water makes!

It is very cool. But here is my question....What are all those little bumps and ridges on the red hook? Paint run off or just sloppy metal shavings.

Can you take a close up of a Gamakatsu or other hooks to see how they compare?


Your giving me ideas here. :lol:


How much for a High power Microscope that takes pictures? :LOL2:
 
I think it is metal. I can get a picture of a few other types, Even work on some good lighting so the cuts show up better. :)
