So I finally took video of my boat/motor today. Some have requested it after my 80's Johnson/Evinrude 25hp conversion thread so here is the motor. You can hear it hesitate in one of the videos at the start because I had been running it for a too long at low idle searching for deep water holes in the river. This causes the motor to load up a bit on take off the first time. I am sure the video is shaky as I am not a camera specialist.

Hey, Johny.
I can't wait to see the videos.
Please go back and edit the videos and change your "Privacy Settings" to "Public".
Thanks.

Nice, wish we had that much water in the rivers down here, around be we are about 3' below gauge.

Nice video BTW

Thanks all :) Hey did anyone notice my 6 yr old son sleeping on the bow deck in the video

And yes it is beautiful country up here. Here is a pic I took at sunrise that morning on the main lake. That is the Bitterroot range which is part of the Rocky mountains.

Johny, I watched that video several times and would have never known until you mentioned it. LOL.
Yea, I agree, beautiful country there. That's the kinda place I would love to enjoy a cup of coffee and just cruise around.
Is the water very deep there?

Yes most of the lakes up here are deep water mountain lakes. The lake in the picture has a max depth of 200 feet and is 25miles long, good sized body of water. The 5th deepest lake in the USA is only 30miles north of me (1200 feet deep). My home lake just down the road from me has a max depth of around 205 feet. Some of the smaller lakes will only have depths of 50-100 feet though. I have found drop offs where I can touch my fishing pole to the rocks on shore yet my depth finder reads 50-70ft of water. There are shallow bays in the lakes also though. The clarity of the water late in the summer/early fall is amazing. Can see the bottom in good definition in 20'-25' of water.

I better get a longer rope for my anchor. :LOL2:
