Sometimes it's just not worth doing the right thing

We had something simlar to that happen. My wife feeds the birds and they constantly run into our slider. One got knocked out so she went out and carried it into the front yard under a tree. When she got back into the house she had just time enough to turn around and see a bald eagle swoop down for lunch. I asked her if he left a thank you note but was called a few names :mrgreen:
 
A few years back an animal rehab group spent a lot of money rehabilitating some rare bird. At the release back into the wild there were several media camera crews. As the rehabbed bird took flight a bird of pray swooped in and grabbed the rehabbed bird on the wing it landed near by and started eating.
 
It was too worth doing. That hawk might have starved. What's that commercial? Never mess with mother nature.
