Evinrude motors

Hey Y'all, It's me again. I have a question; do any of you have an idea where I could obtain an owner's manual for a 1988 6 hp. Evinrude motor? I've never owned a powered boat before and this one is throwing curves at me that I can't hit. I imagine that a great number of y'all consider me an ignorant redneck, and in this instance you would be quite correct. I feel like the epitome of the blind calf in a hailstorm, and I positively hate to disturb any of you with my problems. I feel that it's taking you away from your own projects, but if you can help, I'm most appreciative.

What part of the calf is the epitome?

Got mine off of Ebay for my 83 in PDF format on a CD for like $8.

Thanks to all who gave suggestions on the owner's manual. I will endeavor to follow through with your tips, and Ahab, the epitome, in my case, is the part that keeps butting against the barn door 'cause he ain't got enough sense to admit that his pride is getting in the way of his success with his boat project.
