I'm hoping maybe Painlesstom has some input about this:

I saw a youtube video of someone testing one of these, it looked like it had a pretty good bit of thrust, like, enough to move a small kayak. It says the output is about 3HP, which seems like it would definitely be enough. I'm seriously considering getting one of these, but was wondering if anyone has experimented with them, in particular, painlesstom, because I know you have a mokai, and are familiar with this kind of stuff.

Hmmm, looks real cool. I would think twin drive would be the ticket depending on power source v usage. I know that many subs have very large versions of this kind of technology.

It would be cool to set this up in the kayak with a 12V deep cycle battery (or two) and maybe a solar panel to trickle charge it when I'm paddling and not running the jet.
