I'm thinking this could be used from the bank too if you tied it off to a line. You would be able to see what your casting into.

That was my first thought. A fish finder for the poor man !!! 8) Tie it off to a heavy bait caster and sling it out from the bank (wonder if that would count as a second rod??).

It would probably be perfect in a lake or pond, or even a slow moving river or creek. Might even work to spot fish in a faster river and then work a bait through the area .

I would think that ,No Tackle=Not Fishing,but I may be wrong.

I agree. This won't be able to "catch" fish that can be reeled in on that rod.

If it does...I'll get three of em. :roll:
