Jim I even have a shot of me with my tinboats shirt proudly representing when I figure out how to get it off my Gopro. I would highly recommend you take the family out there. We did the white water rafting and even a jet boat tour. You have your choice of Canyon lands, Dead Horse Point, and Arches national park just to name a few. Plan on at least a half day for each just to scratch the surface. The food is great and we back two times to the Brewery. I would go back in a heartbeat.
OK.. ya'll are makin' me really jealous with all this talk of Idaho and Utah, etc. Well, not so much the talk as the pics.
Back before the Dr. retired me I backpack mega miles of Yosemite National Park at least a couple times per month. I could be out there in the wilderness for a week at a time and never see a single person but tons of critters, from bears on down to marmots and squirrels. Winter was my favorite time of year to be out there. Wake up in the morning with new snow and it was just plain magical.
Spent some time in Arches and also dead horse canyon. Could spend all day shooting pictures there. My brother and I got up and made the hike up to Delicate Arch, one morning to catch the sunrise there.
It is hard to capture the beauty there with a camera, even when you know what you are doing.
