I would like to paint my starcraft boat .It is painted on top from factory but the bottom is bare metal. I wanted to use Rustolem but from the email I got from the company they said not to use it on aluminum boats or outdrives .Is there any kind of paint I could use other then Automotive paint ? Any help would be appreciated.
 
If the boat is kept on a trailer and not in the water for more than a few days at a time rustoleum is fine.
 
I would hit with self etching primer first, then rustoleum. I didn't use it when I did mine, held up great but I have heard stories of it not sticking too well.
