Have a favorite charity? Use Amazon?

Just added my local church to www.smile.amazon.com
Every time I buy an eligible item through Amazon (which is often) my church gets .05% of the purchase from Amazon.

You might consider trying it if you use Amazon much and you have a favorite charity. Amazon had an excellent search engine to find your charity. No cost to you!

I make donation to charities in my name and deduct it on my taxes?

Since the money comes out of Amazon's pocket and not yours, I don't see any justification for a deduction. I'm no tax man.
