That made my day because my favorite site is the Expedition Portal. I'm headed out near Death Vally to spend 4 days in the morning and I'm contemplating dealing with temps in the 30's. How many 1lbs bottles of propane will I need to heat the E350 4x4 van at night? Poor me right! I use the boat to joyride and explore between western lake dams and to get me to places that only a boat can be used. For all practical purposes there are no fish out west. Boats are too fun to give up on just because fishing sucks here so it's an exploration tool and I really enjoyed that story. Really makes me want an Australian $100 dollar bill. Just this month another guy tried to walk across Antartica and died. You can read the news story of this brave chap here.
