Bots Online?

Talk about anything that floats your boat (no pun intended). This is general talk about anything not related to boating/fishing.

Bots Online?

Post by LDUBS » 14 Oct 2016, 00:04

At the bottom of the page there is a window that gives the following info on current user activity:

"In total there are 325 users online :: 31 registered, 3 hidden, 6 bots and 285 guests..."

I got to ask, what is a "bot" and why would it be on a TinBoat forum? Just curious.

Bots in this regards are search engines that crawl the forum all the time to index the topics for their pages.

People find us through search engines when doing research for boat repair, boat modifications, etc.

Harmless for you, great for the forum. :)
