On another site, a guy posted that the charger has to be a manual charger. The "smart" chargers won't work.

I thought about that for a minute and decided that I could just as easily hook the "smart" charger up to a battery. Then, hook the battery up to the tool.

That way, the charger is replacing the current/voltage that is being drawn out of the battery.
