Anyone here ever hear of it or do it as a hobby? I started a few weeks ago and I like it. Its a great way to get out and see nature. All you have to have is a handheld GPS.

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.
 
If you enjoy the navigation part of geocaching, you might like recreational orienteering! :) . Check the following link out. It's a video (8 min.) about the competitive side of orienteering, but a lot of clubs have events that are open to the public and have walking-type courses. I coach our high school team which is currently training to attend the USOF sponsored Interscholastics at West Point, NY in April 2009. :)
