Ladies and Gents, I orderd this Product from Bass Pro. I went fishing 08/23/08 and like any big kid with a new toy I was looking foward to try it on. I own a 10 foot Alumacraft, 2.5 Merc and said to my self"self, this thing is going to be great on the handle in front of the boat." I put the TM on the plastic bracket, and it was WEAK!!!!
Guys and Gals, Do not buy this product, its too weak to hold my Minkota 34# TM with out sliding to and fro, plus it actually fell off. Thank the big guy up stairs that my buddy thought fast and held on to the TM before it was fully submerged.

I saw that too on bps, but when I read the reviews, I shyed against it.

Looks like you can take 2 C-Clamps, put one on each side and attach it to the front lip of the boat. That should keep it in place, but I think I would rig me up some kind of homemade contraption.
