This came-up recently on another forum, and I posted this system because I've used & know it works, and works well. If you have the motor, the wheels are no more expensive than a good stone.

Cool ST, I sharpen my hunting knife & pocket knife mostly, my other ones I buy to collect and maybe hand off to the son some day :wink:

I are'da post some pics of them-I like good ol'knives
 
I collect, and use, Swiss Army Knives (SAK's). Primarily older Victorinox, but I'll grab the occasional Wenger if it catches my eye.

I sharpen everything the semi-old-fashioned way, with a Lansky system:
