I'm loving the ned rig. Tried it for the first time last week and it ended my 3 trip skunk! Its simple, easy to use, and works!

Only "downsides" is it is not great in weedy areas, and sometimes you get a lot of dinks since it is a smaller bait (but fish are fish; I'm ok with that!).

On my list to get comfortable with this season: underspins, chatterbaits, and dropshots.

What are you guys throwing lately?

Chatterbait & lipless crankbait this time of year. Where in CT are you fishing?

I'm a huge fan of Lake Winnemaug in Watertown. Have not tried chatter bait there yet but I had no luck with a lipless last Saturday... And this was 40' from a guy using a square bill. I watched him pull out a 4-5lber... But the ned rig did it for me there.

I'm going to give chatterbait and lipless another try this Saturday.

I also like Silver Lake in Meriden.

5" Yamamoto swimbait with the tail in green pumpkin. Mr. Gary has probably had one of his kids college paid for by me!

Swimbaits are another I really need to get into to... I just love my jigs and plastic worms!
