I hope that there are some of you here who might know about the house thermostat for the central heater...
When I first moved to this house, I replaced the old analog thermostat with a new digital one, so far everything works
well, but there is one thing that I am not sure if that is the way it should be or if I screwed it up.
The issue is:
When the thermostat reaches the set temperature, it shuts off the heater unit, but it leaves the central fan running, which start to push cold air around the house. I need for it to also shuts of the fan when the heater shuts off.
The AC unit does work correctly, it turns on and off the fan when the AC compressor engages which makes sense...
I know behind the thermostat all those wires are color coded and depending on the age of the system the wires should be connected in certain way.
I live in a mobile home that was built in 1996 and it came with a brand new central heat/air unit.
Any hints or ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Regards
