Never owned one but I rode in one. My buddy had to get a long running start to make it up a hill in our area. If there was a lot of traffic restricting his speed he ended up slowing down to like 30-35 MPH by the time he got to the crest of the hill.

At least the Yugo was small and light enough to push when they broke down. That was frequently.I had a nerdy teacher that drove one from the day he got it new until he died.About 20 years.Last time I saw the car was summer of 1989.I bet his family had that pile crushed after his death.

I don't think I ever actually saw a Yugo.

A guy in high school had one. We turned it side ways between a light pole and a broken down school van. It was fun watching him and his buddies trying to get it out. Couple weeks later, he came zipping in the lot, turned hard left and jerked the e brake in a water puddle. Ever see a turtle trapped on it back? This one was white.
