no but can we use this thread to discuss it?

I hear a lot of talk that Greg Hackney should do really good.

How about Kim Bain? I think it's kind of crappy way to get into the Classic but I hope she does well and would like to see her on the Elites full time.

This year they gave a the WBT angler of the year a spot in the Classic, it's controversial because the WBT is women only with only 4 tournaments, they can use guides for info before the event...yadda, yadda, yadda. That being said, she's the real deal and has finished several times in the money in other events that were open to men and women and is relatively new to bass fishing coming from Australia. Huge potential! I'm a fan.

I find it ironic that the woman are being representing in the classic by someone who is married to Andre Moore who owns Reaction Innovations, a company that markets in an arguably explotative and misogynistic way.

My girlfriend had a chance to get free airline tickets, half price hotel and free rental car but my work wouldn't let me take the time off. Can you believe that. This would have been the third classic I've attended. Darn work!!!!
:evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

I've been too 3 classics, 2 in New orleans and 1 in Birmingham. I volunteered at the two in New Orleans. It was an experience that I'll never forget. I got to spend a hour + with the one and only KVD Kevin Vam Dam. I won't be able to attend this one.

What are they doing? Inquiring minds want to know, lol :)

The names they give baits and the ad art they use

Look at the web site;

I still need more Swamp Donkeys

and I mean the bait

don't get me wrong, I love their stuff and the names are classic. But you gotta see the irony! :)

Kinda off topic, but did anyone join the TackleWarehouse fantasy fishing league for a chance to win bunches of free stuff? I did. Picked my line-up for the Classic the other day. Boy, that was a hard decision. Ended up excluding KVD :shock: because in the past he has not performed well on the Red River. Went with Greg Hackney, Edwin Evers, Davy Hite, Scott Rook, and Bobby Lane.

Do you guys really pay for travel and such to go watch other people catch fish?

heck, for a few bucks you can watch me catch fish all day long - I will even give you lunch!

And I sign autographs for a small fee - I have a special sharpie i use for that

Terry and I will be there covering it. If you are going, stop and introduce yourselves to us! Would like to meet everyone.
