Aloha everyone! New here to the forum, and boat ownership/rebuilding. Looking forward to picking up the skills as i go, and the way I see it, is if I can't take care of and maintain this, why do I deserve a $10-20k+ boat?
So it starts here. I honestly thought I'd just buy this and enjoy it for a little bit, until I could afford more, and literally 3 days later, im restoring a boat. Lol.
I bought this 12' 1970 Alumiline boat, and a sweet 2013 Smith trailer. The trailer caught my eye, and I felt I could always use it should the boat not work out. Tags current, titles in hand with a bill of sale (score)
Together they were listed on CL @ $900 along with wooden Oars, a older trolling motor (more on that later) with battery, and life vests.
I walked away paying $700 a pack of bacon and two fresh trouts. Older retired guy and his wife, so i felt good overall.
