This is my recently purchased 1960 Play King 14 ft V-bottom,I cant find any information on Play King boats, any one else have one or heard of it ?100_0766.JPG100_0760.JPG100_0763.JPG100_0768.JPG100_0771.JPG100_0770.JPG100_0773.JPGIm about to start my restore/modification ,Ive been reading over this forum for awhile and have found it very useful,Thanks(i will post more pics as it changes)

Well I pressure washed it to get all the green algea off of it(had been sitting full of leaves since 2008),I have mocked up a front bow mount for the TM,and adding a deck over top of the front seat and a deck over top of the back seat, thats after i remove the loose paint and prime and paint it(thought of putting rubberizer in the inside under the floor to help seal and also for noise deadness)Been doing alot of product pick up at my local Habatat For Humanity restore facility(great place to find good-marine paint, lumber, plywood).Nothing is attached yet have to finish inside and treat all wood, total weight for front deck and seat support for deck is 14 lb.7 oz.,weighed on my shipping scale to check

this boat is identical to mine except mine is 12'. look forward to seeing your build

Can't wait to see what you do with her!

Only caution I see is that looks like pressure treated wood for your framing. That won't mix well with the aluminum. Avoid it if you can, but if you're on a budget and getting salvaged materials - try to have as little as possible or none touching the aluminum.

I'll be watching this thread for sure!

Thanks for the info, all the wood that may touch the boat has rubber pads under it that i had from when i was hauling paper rolls to stop movement, and yes it is definetly on a budget, most expensive thing was all the brackets and the stainless steel screws.

Picture of back deck and back area where battery and gas tank will sit,a hatch will be in back and storage under seat :D,total weight for both parts in picture is 16 lbs.weighed it out on my shipping scale to check.

Spiderman, very nice build, great colors! How did you do your floors? Also I saw you extended you back bench by framing in front of it.. Did you make that area storage under the seat? I love your layout, just trying to get details for ideas..

Thanks still working on it,Yes I have storage under the seat from the front, the panel is not attached it slips in between the floor and the deck lid and has velcro straps incase it tries to move

Well this is where I'm at now, have taken the boat out about 10 time's,it floats nicely and is quite stable with 2 people in it,had to do some tweaking to the trailer to make it easier to load and unload.Still a work in progress, always thinking of ways to improve on the design and function(livewell in center),Thanks for all the input during construction, saved me alot of time and headaches.
