Here's my start of the conversion of this 82 14 foot skinny fisher marine flat bottom. Im going to add a very skinny center console with as big a motor I can get away with, I'd like to add float pods to it to be able to handle some extra weight of motor and get the butt sitting a bit higher. Any stability mods I can do? Small deck front and back minimum storage and as little weight added as possible. Thanks for the add to the forum look forward to learning more from you guys! Gutted the two benches out to add my own supports in to add in the front and rear decks. The foam that was in the benches was completely shot.

The best thing you can do for stability is to keep the center of gravity as low & towards the middle as possible. So fuel & battery could be by your console.

Thank you sir. That's the plan really low small decks front and back then center console thats very small and low with seat in front of it with battery storage possibly gas tank further up but I might just be stuck leaving the tank in the back in the middle

The bigger the motor the more you will need to keep the bow down. I bet a 30 will push that boat pretty well, maybe faster than you want to go, LOL.

Yea I've pretty much figured that a 30 would be plenty. But then I fell upon all these jet jons with jet ski motors in them and now I want one of them. Dang it. Probably next build I'd like a bit wider boat for that

I love my jet jon. Well worth the effort to build.

Ughhh i didn't need anymore influence on doing this lol I wanna build one so bad!

Been steady stripping this **** hull. The gel paint remover i tried sucked. Went to a nylon eraser wheel and sand paper. Wish I had access to a media blaster but its slowly coming along. I'll need to braze up some of the holes from the old rivets and rivet and braze in my new supports and decking then paint time.
