..VERY nice Big site here for rigs. Maybe saw some link from a wood boat site.? However lots of activity, hints, photos & reports.
.... Retired halfback in east TENN just south of Dayton. Live just off main channel in one of the quiet coves. Very beautiful. Sale Creek campground would be a good place for a fishing / rally that members talked about in other threads.
. Had a new Duranautic 13' about 1974 as we lived in Beacon ,New YOrk where they were made. Just loved that unit. Sold in 93 for almost the same price as we moved to Melbourne, Fla. Son got into the boating industry & Omc. .Moved to Tenn a few years ago & fished with the FIberglass skiff wide 16' & kayaks. .Last summer got some older Tiller o/b's & needed to sell the kayaks with a back injury. Got missing the TIN scene & 16 years since run tillers. Found this nifty 16 ft 1970 MON-ARK in Chattanooga warehouse. Old timer with cycles & bigger sailboat, pontoon.
... Shine & some polish on the inside, while I Two tone painted the outside. Light gray upper & Blue waterline bottom. Added handy wood cast / sittin / cargo deck that worked well for a mtn bike portage / trail. My friend runs the SOuth Knoxville classic show/ meet/ swap in May & Oct. Other polished Feather Craft usually show there. https://inlinethumb06.webshots.com/44933/2703581130099263945S425x425Q85.jpg

YES, very good fishing in my town March -June. . Boating death accident in Rhea county this am . One of four Deer hunters in boat tip over before dawn . Only 20 degrees here this am ..!! Three made it to shore.

Here is the LINK from city newspaper. Looks like the 40+ yr guy was the owner of the 16 or 15' dark green jon boat, & his two sons with him . A sad story that has been on tv news. .The uniform marine officer was giving a ramp interview with the boat in the background. . Very low freeboard, but hard to tell if lots of water still inside.?? It did have sort of white canvas enclosed top , like a duck hunting blind.(?) . & other articles mention weight overloading MODIFICATIONS from a pickup truck CAP .? . So future publicity will only be negative. https://rheaheraldnews.com/story/15787
. 7am is still dark here in am , & believe the boat was crossing the River Main channel to get to our West side.. Four adults though not good all in one trip or crossing.
