I have a polarcraft 1865 that is painted camo from the factory.I want to paint it red.I want it to be slick when finished. What primer can I use to smooth the camo before painting. Thanks in advance for any info.

What I did was stripped it, then primed.. and my paint is on its way in the mail now. I used Rustoleum Self Etching Primer in spray cans that I got at walmart for $4.77 a can. I put about 4 coats on because some of my sanding with with angle grinder left deep marks, ( #-o ) but its all coverd and primed very well. Now the paint I'm using is Rustoleum Marine Coats - Topside, because I heard some good reviews on it and, someone else on this forum used it, and it turned out well. I ordered black, but they do have a red color - plus the good thing is i got it for $13 a quart off amazon. =D>
