I thought this was be a good addition to the thread on distance 8)

My 1648 with 40 horse does 29 gps, but this was prior to putting decks in. It was also prior to cleaning the carbs and cleaning the crap off the bottom.. so we shall see...

I know a lot of guys here run electric only, and others don't have very big motors, so we'll include any tin boat youve ever been on..

No idea what my 1648 with a 50/35 jet runs. My buddy has an 1860 Legend SS with a 150 etec jet on it and it will run mid 40's. A couple guys I know who are big into catfishing have 2472 SeaArk Pro Cat 240's with 225 Suzuki four strokes on the back that will push 55 mph.

I recall my '05 PT175 Tracker with a 50hp Merc, doing around 29-30 mph with about a 3/4 full fuel tank (21 gal full) and 3 adults. I think I had a good tail-wind, lol.

My current rig, 16' Lowe, all-electric, flies with both tm's on high :---)

A hair over 50 GPS and I could stand another three inches of pitch in the prop to get it down into the recommended rpm range at WOT.

My 1242 with my Merc Mark 55 (40 hp) has seen 40 mph on the gps.Haven't had the Mark on since I've added the sponsons though. This spring I'll put the Mark back on & see if I can see 40 +. [-o<

I've gotten up to 4.2 mph with my v-hull. I hope to break the 5 mph barrier out of the new rig.

I've seen 52mph on the gps in my Lund, my dad has a 21' Sylvan with a 135 optimax right after he bought it we took it out with 1/4 tank of gas and no gear, we hit 58 on the gps.

High 40's always, over 53 a time or two on the bottom wheel speedo for the depth finder. I need to GPS it

2008 Lund 1950 Tyee Grand Sport with a 225 Mercury Optimax and boat with 3 adults hit 57mph on GPS and 3/4 tank of gas + gear. Over revving with the 19" pitch on the prop. Prop is a Stainless steel Tempest.

My 14ft aerocraft v-hull with a 1980 Evinrude 15hp runs 29.6 with just me, and 25 with 2 people. I have a mini jacker with homemade brackets making the setback 4 inches. The boat weighs 110lbs, motor 80-90 ish, and fuel, gear, and me another 140 lbs. Im running a 9.5x10 prop; waiting for my prop shop to make me a 9.5x13. With the 13 pitch i hope to break the 30mph barrier and then some. I'll post pictures of it soon.

Best I've seen by myself was 32.8 and 31 with 2 people. Usually its more like 29-30. The good news is that its super fuel efficient and quiet since its a 4 stroke. My cruising speed is 21-23 for best efficiency.

My 70HP Johnson get my 17 1/2 Lowe up to 33 mph (speedo). If I'm loaded down with 2 other guys, gear and a full tank it still gets over 30 mph @ WOT.

The boat's rated for 120 hp, so I'm a bit under powered. :(

Here's the video of my boat. Can't wait to put a 9.5x13 on there. I also modified the exhaust last night so I could run over the hub props if I really want to.
