Is it a rivet or welded boat?

It sounds ok.

In my area, I would guess used prices were:
Welded 1448 800 - 1000 (good luck finding one)
Rivet $250 - $400
Trailer $600-$800
05 Merc ~$1500

If it's a rivet, I would say that the price is a little lower than the going rate.
A welded hull would be a great deal.

A boat with 6hrs on it is like a car with 100 miles on it.If he is bucking up to get the carbs done,it sounds like a winner to me.

It sounds to me like a good deal, but it different around the country!!! I paid $1900 for a 1992 15 ft Modified V Mirrocraft with a 93 Johson 25hp . It had a few goodies like light, Trolling motor, depth finder, etc....and I thought that was a great deal.


Price out a new 25 HP motor and you'll jump on this in a heartbeat. In my neck of the woods a used 1448 is hard to come by especially one in good condition. I even priced them out new at around $1800 for a Riveted one, then add a trailer and a motor.

Are you kidding me? The motor alone is worth $1500-$1800 depending on seller's confidence!

I'd jump on it, mostly because of the quality. If you stick it out, you might find a better deal, but possibly not a better value.
