Just kidding man, congrats on the boat. I have a 1648 and its a great boat. You'll be happy with it come spring.
 
I wonder if the cost of aluminum has gone up so much recently to make a difference in price like that. I do know that the cost of fuel and therefore shipping has skyrocketed in the last three or four years. At work we do a lot of cross-country and some international shipping and it's pretty amazing how much those costs have gone up in the last several years. Good luck on your new boat.
