I perused in HD today, they have this primer for Aluminum, did not say self etching... is this any good?

I find this weird that HD didn't have the self etching primer by rustoleum. I just got some today from Menards for 3.44 a can. Oh you guys probably don't have Menards around there I forgot that its a michigan thing from what I'm told. But Lowe's also had it, but for 5.19 a can.

The aluminum primer isn't good for painting a hull. I used in on my 14 foot mod and as soon as it gets exposed to water through a chip, you start losing paint really fast.
Go with an actual self etching primer.

No, make sure to get the primer that says "self etching primer" on the front.
