I have a few questions for you experts. Is he using posts to raise the seats to a comfy height for fishing? Can you tell if this is a stable platform?

I bought the exact same boat and had planned on modding mine to be like this one. just brought mine home last Sunday.

Depends greatly on the beam of the boat. If it is wide enough, benchtop height is plenty high enough to fish and plenty stable on most 14' boats. Mine is decked to the bench tops and is plenty stable. I used 13" posts to raise my seats at first to a comfy fishing level, but that wasn't for me. I like to stand when I fish. I have a bad back though, so standing with one foot on the trolling motor lasted all of ten minutes and I knew I needed something different. I ended up getting the long adjustable poles and the pro style butt seats and it has made all of the difference.
